Losing a loved one for any reason, but when it has to do with substance abuse it can be especially hard. When someone can’t return the love they’re given- it seems futile to mete it out. But we all know it’s impossible to not love someone we just learn to cope.
lyrics
The Sun it rips through the blinds. The bird are a talking and the sky rains wine. I don’t want to get up right now because my darlin’ is out and about.
So I wait around, waiting ain’t easy once love comes around. But I’m fine.
Oh yes, I’m fine.
Oh over what can I do. Of all of the ways tat I love you, you won’t let me in. Oh, please let me in.
A chalice without any wine. It’s not that I’m empty all of the time. I just need filled up, so come on, fill me up with love.
So I turn my back to the Sun, the day it ain’t easy for everyone.
Would you please come home tonight.
Would you please come home?
Would you please come home tonight.
